Here we are still at 4500 feet coasting out enroute too Gigha, life jackets on of course. There’s a fair bit of water to cross and not an awful lot of places to go should something break. The land is big lumps of granite mostly.
It’s about 14 miles of sea until we get to the Isle of Arran, then another 5 miles of wet stuff until the Kintyre peninsula, then a short crossing to Gigha Island.
