Visibility even worse than yesterday - barely 3 or 4 km. Decided not to go all the way down to Land End and opted for a gentle jaunt for some sightseeing.

Departed Kemble 1058 after receiving bollocking for not following appropriate procedure which included stopping the ‘other’ side of a holding point. Oops.

Routed via Charmy Down then Frome (Somerset) were Bob’s father has a farm, so plenty of circling overhead, waving etc and dropped into Eaglescott for some fuel.

After some tea (plus fuel for the ‘plane) went via Lynton to the North coast by the lighthouse at Porthcawl for the crossing of the Severn estuary to Swansea.

Visibility now less than amusing. Coasted out over the cliff and couldn’t see a thing! Got lower with a decending circle by the cliffs until we could see the sea at about 800 feet altitude. Meandered North trying (!) to hold a steady compass heading and eventually coasted in on the East side of Swansea bay. Nice.

Landed at Swansea and certainly ready for a beer!
