Friday we landed in the vineyard area near Cape Town at Svellendam, on a private strip in a vineyard. The owner was a pilot and made us extremely welcome, taking us on a personal tour of the vineyards. Some drinking of fantastic wine too! Today we had some 150 miles to get to the airfield just north of Cape Town, where we started and will complete, a trip round Southern Africa. After 85 miles with a 30 mile headwind we had to put down in a field as the weather closed in. Luckily a private strip was nearby and we headed back 10 miles to land at another great strip and another warm welcome. The trikes are even in a hangar out of the weather! Weather forecast is not good for tomorrow but hopefully we will be able to complete the final leg of our journey, some 100 miles, on Monday. With our tickets home for Tuesday we should still be in time!
