The ground & air team members are now back together in Cairns. Jim, john & Ingrid landed at Cairns International airport this morning shortly before Michelle departed from the same place - her plane was a bit larger than ours though ! Thanks very much to the airport authorities & to air traffic control both for allowing us to land amongst the jumbo jets and for the guided tour of the control tower. A real highlight of the trip ! We are now approximately halfway through our big adventure both in distance and time. We have flown nearly 90 hours since leaving Bunbury & Keiths says hes has driven nearly 8000 miles. It looks like the good weather which has helped us recently might be ending so we are spending a few days here planning & preparing for the next stages - the daunting legs round Cape Yorke.
