The team have now left Adelaide (and the hospitality of Mac & Cristobel Crabb) enroute for Melbourne. The first leg was to Tintinara and was fraught by low clouds & headwinds. Having finally reached the destination, it proved to be nothing more than a strip for crop sprayers. Luckily we were met by Keith who had a less eventful journey.
The following day, the usual dawn start didn’t prevent another battle against headwinds but after another long flight we arrived at Mount Gambier Regional airport (at the same time as a commuter airliner was landing). We were very well looked after including the aircraft which were hangered.
On departure this morning we were again mixing with the departing regional airliners. For once we managed to find a tailwind and so for the first time in ages had beautiful clear blue skies. It was even warmer than we have been used too so we thoroughly enjoyed the flight to Peterborough. Tomorrow we hope to make Melbourne & celebrate Keiths birthday. We are now in our third state and fourth time zone. More later - John, Jim & Keith PS Whilst at Mount Gambier we were interviewed by local ABC radio. The details shouls be on the web at www.abc.net.au in the South East SA local radio area.

It’s not only the lizards you have to worry about. Ringway would have to measure removal of road kill by the tonne. We have reached Melbourne safely, a quarter of the trip having been completed. Regards to all at Ciren.

Sacha,
Filming has been erratic so far due to poor weather and lack of ability. We’re hoping the first problem improves and we’re working on the second.
regards
Keith

Thanks for the contact info Ron. The airfield at Esperance was excellent - we even had a light winds when we landed which was a bit of a first for us ! Things are going well so far - next stop Sydney. Cheers John

Thank you David. I’m trying not to miss work too much. Far enough away from rugby not to worry about it, but glad I’m not there. It’s nearly time to blow out those forty candles. The fire brigade have been informed. Regards to all.

Glad to hear you are still following the progress - we’ve done over 2000 miles now & 45 hours flying. It might look like we’ve made progress but its only a quarter of the way round ! Hope your high arrives & you all get some flying in too. Cheers John
