Team are now in Esperance enjoying a well deserved day off havng flown 6 hours from Albany via Bremer Bay & Hopetoun. Thanks to John Lewis & friends for their hospitality at Albany. The first leg was flown in UK-like conditions with a cloudbase of 1000ft not what were were expecting! The second leg was over what is known here as “tiger country”- even from 7000ft there appeared to be few landing opportunities. Conditions improved throughout the day allowing our first evening leg which was mostly along the coast with fantastic views & silky smooth (“purple air”) flying conditions.

Whilst flying out from Albany the trikes were overtaken by Keith in the Suzuki - he was going downhil however! He did reach Esperance 5 hours before

us though. Apparently he had a pleasant drive dodging lizards.

Over the next week, diary entries are likely to be sporadic as we will be crossing the (in)famous Nullabor Plain. We plan to travel via Balladonia, Cocklebiddy, Eucla, Nullabor and Penong. More updates when we can.

Greetings guys, glad it’s going so well already. Hope the weather has improved - could be worse, I’m freezing my nads off in Helsinki today!

Say hi to the Nullabor for me (and don’t forget me stickers!)

Keith (& Pia xx)

Can’t sypathise too much with you having UK like conditions (rain, wind and low cloud base) as England is slowly drowning. Team last heard of at the Nullabor Roadhouse (4th Feb) if anyone is tracking progress! Can’t wait to be out there. Gentle breezes lolxxxx

Weather has been better here but not what we had hoped for. Happilly not had to use the bandages yet - not of us dare to injure ourselves in case the other 2 start practicing on us again ;-)) Cheers John
